Sky store voucer didnt work

I received an email voucher for a free movie on sky store. When purchasing it it took the full amount from my bank

Hi @Szxszx 

 

When you use a voucher you have to add that to your online Skystore account (not your Sky TV account)

 

you then have to spend it online (not a rent /purchase on your Sky box)

 

Can I ask - how did you rent / buy the movie ? On what device ?

 

If the above is what happened - you

should still have some credit on your online account

Did you apply the voucher to your online account and then also make the purchase online because if you made the purchase via your Sky box then this will explain why you have been charged as you need to make the purchase online only when a voucher code has to be used.

 

If this is the case and you made the purchase via your box then I would get in touch with Sky Store support regarding this, they have a live chat you can use that is available from 11am-7.30pm each day and can be found here:

so you have a couple of options 

 

assuming your Skystore credit is still there on your account online - you can just use it for another movie (if you rent online though - you can't send the rental to your Sky box. You can send buy and keep movies to your box )

 

other than that you can follow the suggestion from @caesarome and contact the Skystore team - and perhaps they will allow you to cancel the transaction you did and let you try again using your online credit.

If you mean you purchased the film via your box then as I said you went about this the wrong way as you should have purchased the film online at the same place you applied the voucher, so you will need to contact the support team now as per my post above.
