So I made a sky store purchase on my phone hoping to then watch it on my tv when I got home but I can't see a way to do it. It doesn't appear in sky store purchases on the tv, I can only download to my phone. What the hell???

So it seems that as it was a 2 film collection, one of those films not available on the box only through stream online and so neither film showing on the box. I've been credited and will purchase direct through the box in future. I don't think it's clear sometimes if a film you look to purchase on your mobile can or can't be sent to the box. Sometimes though it is easier to search on your phone so I guess just use it to search and then once decided remember to make the purchase on the box (assuming the same film is available there too)

It was a buy and keep. It's on my list of purchases when I look online on my phone but no way to send to the box and can't see it anywhere on the box to download

On your Sky Q box are you definitely looking in recordings / purchases ? (If as @caesarome says - it's a buy and keep) edit
On your phone are you signing in with the same Sky ID ?
if so, on your phone you should be seeing an option like this

Gonna have to call Sky coz this is making no sense. Not seeing the links you describe. Account looks like it is linked already. I don't use sky store that often and this is just irritating

If on your Sky box you search for exactly the same movie (ie same resolution, same version / bonus edition etc ) does it come up with a price ? Or does it think you have already purchased it ?
If it says you have already purchased it you should be able to download it from that screen.
(Just don't buy it twice )
again - it should show in recordings / purchases

I did try this but the exact thing doesn't show up. I got a 2 film collection and it only shows the individual films at a cost. My phone just has a play button and lower down links to download to the film to my phone. No button to send to the sky box and the box doesn't appear to have any evidence of the purchase. I've obviously purchased in the wrong manner. I knew rentals on my phone can't be sent to the box but I thought purchase you can. Evidentially not in all cases. It should be quite simple since it's all the same account I should be able to watch on my phone of through the box no matter how/where I purchased but I guess it's not as simple as that.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI vary how I purchase (buy and keep) movies between my phone and my box depending on how I wish to pay for them (credit card / vouchers on my phone - added to my bill on my box)
I think that's a perfectly reasonable thing to do as the movies are interchangeable beteeen the two ways of viewing.
