I have been emailed to let me know about my VIP reward (in this case a free movie) but everything I look through in Sky Store is normal price. My Sky app isn't showing anything either. Why isn't this easier to do by now?

Find out moreWhat you need to do @LFH68 is to install the MySky app on a mobile phone or iPad, then when you have logged into and the rewards have been added (this might not happen straight away), you should see the free Sky Store film one so select it and then either via this link or the sky Store section of your Sky box the films should display as £0.00 meaning you can go ahead and order your free film.

Thanks for replying. I've tried that.
Basically I got an email with this message "Dim the lights, grab the popcorn and get ready for a Sky Store movie on us. It's our way of saying thank you for joining Sky Broadband."
So I logged into the My Sky app as I already had it. I tapped on the Sky VIP button and there's nothing there about a free movie. I go to my Sky Q box and still nothing. No Sky VIP option in Sky Store. But I'm apparently on VIP Silver. I just don't get it

These photos will take a while to upload, but if you go to the Skystore page on a device (this is my iPhone) you should see a menu page like this
if you then click on Sky VIP do you see a selection of movies like this?

as @caesarome explains it can take a few days after signing up for your free movie choice to appear
If you still don't see the free movies another option is to use the Skystore live chat or contact page

Was it more than 4 days since you registered ?
Is your Sky store login linked to your Sky TV account ? (Check in the my account section on your Skystore login)
If both the above are ok I would try the Skystore live chat link I posted earlier

I agree that it is confusing. I have just moved to Sky Broadband from BT and got the same email stating - "Dim the lights, grab the popcorn and get ready for a Sky Store movie on us. It's our way of saying thank you for joining Sky Broadband"
I have spoken to an agent via chat and he tells me that it is a one-off offer for signing up to SKY VIP and that the T&C states that the offer is unavailable to people who have already redeemed it.
I have gone through the T&C and can't find anything of the sort.
The email does say to Download the App, Join Sky VIP and get your free SkY VIP welcome Gift - but that does not detract from the statement about it being a thank you for joining Skt Broadband

It is a bit clumsy not to clarify this in the email, although to be fair to Sky, in the Sky store FAQ it says this
"Claim more than one Welcome Gift?
No, there's only one Sky VIP Welcome Gift for each new home"

But why should I have to go to the FAQ's. The email says it is a thank you for joining Sky Broadband not for joining Sky VIP. And for the chat agent to then tell me it is specified in the email T&C's when it clearly isn't. When I pointed that out he basically said 'tough' you have already had a reward. I would have thought Sky knows that I am a VIP member so surely they could have stopped the email.
I know I am not going to get anywhere but I really think that the Sky customer service has fallen down with this.

I'm new to the "Sky Universal" and Sky VIP is just nuts! Does Sky VIP want me to click though all the movies to find one I would like to watch for £0.00...its just MAD! 😠

not quite sure why, but you have to be at level 3 on the forum (120 points or more) before you can edit your own post
it seems a bit bonkers I know but I think it's just an "incentive" maybe to encourage people to be active on the forum
