You can also watch Buy & Keep movies and TV shows on your:

It appears it is only avaiable WebOS1, WebOS2, and WebOS3 according to Sky's help pages I eventually found or is WebOS4 also supported?
it is shame Sky Store isn't available on other manufacturers Smart TVs!

It would good if it could be confirmed if WebOS4 is or is not supported!

Thanks Mike for this update, it's appreciated. Can anyone advise on their specific setups, as to what Roku / NowTv devices work, or more importantly, any that don't?
I've watched some SkyStore content on my PC, which is old and sometimes jittery and not HD or surround sound, so I want to be able to watch on my Sony tv.
There appear to be more than 10 different types of Roku device, and a good number of NowTv devices as well.
Ideally I'm looking to purchase either a Roku or NowTv device that will allow the audio to be output through my current surround sound setup. Just wondering if anyone has this (or if the Sky store app doesn't support surround sound through 3rd party hardware). There just seems to be fairly generic information.
Thanks in advance
Jon

Does anyone actually know why sky only supports the store app on LG tvs. Its incredulous in the 21st century why this absurd situation exists with sky effectively having 2 versions of the store. 1 on the q boxes where you cannot access any credit and the app where you can only transfer buy and keep to the box
I have an android TV, and although the app exists for android i cant download to the TV, unless I tried to sideload it. I have asked sky the question but never seem to get an answer that makes sense.
I've resorted to buying a roku express, which works like a charm, but I shouldn't have had to........
As an aside does sky stream/glass allow access to the store app. If so why can't sky add the app to the q boxes??

here are my guesses @penfold72
I've always assumed it's due to the nature of licencing agreements between Sky and LG
I wondered if LG perhaps did an exclusivity deal with Sky as the only other TVs which I think work are those with built in Chromecast including some Sony and some Toshiba (even those are limited and won't cast most premiere rentals )
I know my Apple TV works really well for Skystore
any informed knowledge @Chloe-W22 ?

Thanks @mike+simmonds
Its an idea, but as android is open source can this be done. My Sony TV has builtin chrome cast but I don't particularly like chrome casts and as you say, some things will not stream. It would be nice to have a definitive answer from sky, regards these issues with sky store and its general operation, even if just for openness and clarity.

If Sky supported more TV manufacturers Sky could also start to support 4K and HDR on those TVs!

In my defence I'd had a very tiring day - but of course this was a mistyped piece of nonsense - I'd been thinking about my Sky Go app on my Apple TV - NOT my Skystore app ( which is not on Apple TV)

Glass televisions are purchased by their users, and so can be retained after a Sky subscription is cancelled. In such circumstances, having a Sky Store app is usefull.
Sky Q boxes, on the other hand, are loaned and have no non-subscription use. As such there's no point in them hosting the Store app because they cannot be kept for such purposes.

I suppose, but you could also say the same for the other apps on the q box. I don't think sky really care what us users think of the access ability of the sky store app and are content to leave things as they are. Personally I feel they have given up on the q box and are directing more resources to glass and stream.

Thanks all for the feedback - good to know I'm not the only one confused by what is / isn't suported. In defence of whoever admins the FAQ pages of supported devices, they're only going on what they're told by the coders, and I doubt they're given any budget to purchase multiple devices to see it the Store app can be installed and is compatable.
I ended up going for the Roku Express as it has flexibility of other apps on the platform as well, and it seems to work (and provide some level of surround sound). As for whether it is HD Ready /HD / 1080p etc etc, I have no idea, but I got to see moving pictures that were in sync with sound, and cound control it with a responsive remote, so a few steps up from my 10 year old windows PC.
Thanks again community folk 🙂
