Re: Sky Store app supported devices
It's a shame that the logic that Sky Store only works on a device you have bought when out of subscription DOES NOT apply to Sky Stream Pucks!

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
It's really about time sky got a grip of this skystore issue, with regards to devices it runs on and having 2 versions, an app and the one on sky q. They both needs to be amalgamated likely as an app with global device availability. The issues with this situation is ridiculous in the 21st century. Likely get no reply from sky.....

You need to get one those "superusers" to refer your post to Sky ... to even have a chance of a reply from Sky!

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
There is nothing we or the messaging team can do as this isn't an account related problem as this is how it just works rightly or wrongly.

Well the Sky Messaging Team could talk to Sky Product Team about meeting Sky's Customer expectations?

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
All sky need to do to initially solve this general mess they have created is to allow the app to be installed on smart tvs. I can't see why they can't, particularly on android based tvs, as there is an app for android devices. Its just insane..... At least this would allow films rented online to be viewed on a proper TV. I don't see why people who don't have chrome casts or roku boxes etc should be forced to watch films on tablets or phones if rented online.
Believe in better, they should follow their own tagline😳😳

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
I am considering leaving Sky after 21 years.
Rather than create another thread on the topic to ask my question,
I thought it would be for the best asking in this thread on this subject.
I have over 243 movies on sky store.
Would like to watch them on Television if I go ahead and cancel sky.
One work around I have found is downloading the sky store desktop app on my PC.
Then screen mirror to my Samsung Smart TV.
I choose screen mirroring on my TV then go to my PC.
Windows 11 OS
1. Open the Start menu and click the gear icon at the bottom-left corner.
2. Click “Devices” in the Settings window, then hit “Bluetooth & other devices.”
3. Click Devices "Add Device"
4. Choose "Wireless display or dock"
5. Choose Television name.
etc...
Connects fine but I rather would like an app to use on the Television directly.
My question is, I am considering on buying a "Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max"
Would I be able to get the skystore app specifically on the latest Amazon Firestick?
I would appreciate any insight. Thank you.

I'm afraid not as the firestick is not supported as these are the only devices that are:
- PC/Mac
- Android/iOS using the Sky Store app
- NOW TV and Roku
- LG Smart TV (WebOS3 or above)
You can also watch Sky Store content on your Chromecast, simply select the Chromecast icon on the Sky Store apps or skystore.com to view your content on the big screen.

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
Hi @Aquadelta
If you do leave Sky, in addition to following the advice from @caesarome on which devices you can view, it's also worth contacting the Skystore team to request your account is carried forward to a Skystore only type account.
we have heard of occasions where customers leaving Sky can't access their movies until this is done.

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
Hi Mike, Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I would be unable to follow the provided link and ask.
It's one of the reasons why I'm considering leaving sky.
The skystore team would be denied access to my account details following the disgusting conduct by Sky Priority.
Everything for me now works via "Priority".
"Priority" have blocked other departments from accessing my account.
"Priority" by my experience thus far have been obstructive and expect me to accept "only" their own advice and information.
The question I asked prior of would I be able to get the skystore app on a Amazon Fire stick is still valid and outstanding.
I would very much like an answer to my question.
Thank you.

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
Hi @Aquadelta
However you deal with Sky, to the best of my of my knowledge- it would be a sensible step to ask them to make sure you can still access your Skystore account if and after you leave
if you mean, the question about accessing on an Amazon fire stick then I'm certain the answer from @caesarome is correct (even though he and I are just contributors to the forum rather than Sky employees )
the section from the help pages is this
"What devices can I use to watch Sky Store movies and TV shows?
If you have Sky TV, you can watch Sky Store movies and TV shows on your compatible Sky box
You can also watch Buy & Keep movies and TV shows on your:
- Android/iOS using the Sky Store app
- NOW TV and Roku
- LG Smart TV (WebOS3 or above)
You can also watch Sky Store content on your Chromecast, simply select the Chromecast icon on the Sky Store apps or skystore.com to view your content on the big screen.
To download the free Sky Store App, go to https://skystore.com/myaccount/sky-store-apps"

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
Hi Mike, Thanks again for replying promptly.
I do not trust "sky priority" to do that going on the experience I have had thus far. I cannot trust that department at all for anything to resolve an issue. Highly probable that they would not even contact skystore to give me any reassurance that my account would be a skystore only account moving forwards.
Regarding my question, I did read that information on the prior page, but my inquiry was if anyone had any insight if it would be possible to get the skystore app "specifically" on an Amazon Fire Stick, or if anyone had any personal insight regarding to this.
Thanks for your kind assistance Mike.

It is not possible to get the sky store app added to firestick as both myself have explained as only Sky themselves can do this.

Re: Sky Store app supported devices
No is the answer, I have just left sky after 18 years and am trying to figure out how to get access to the movies I bought. Sky are great at letting you buy the movies but for some reason don't seem to be too great at allowing you to watch them on anything other than their own device or a tablet/phone. I just want to watch the movies o have bought on my TV - since they are mine!!
