Hi @CathyB66
I've no idea of course but I did wonder if there is some sort of "LG only" licencing deal in place ?
Sky must be aware of the inconvenience to non LG customers but don't expand the app to other brands if TV
My TV is an LG and the app works perfectly but I know that won't be any consolation to you.
anyway - hope the posts have clarified

Re: Samsung TV sky movies?
Hi @CathyB66
Most can be watched if you have a Chromecast (some of the Premiere movies won't cast)
Roku should work if you have one.
An LG TV should work if you have a 2nd TV in the house.
I have heard but can't confirm that it works if you have a laptop / PC with a physical cable output to an HDMI socket on your TV
Hope one of those helps

Re: Samsung TV sky movies?
Hi I dont have any of those (Roku/Chromecast) - just have samsung tv, & devices (S24phone & Galaxy tablet). The TV / devices are all 2024 & the TV has a gazillion apps/samsung plus etc! So would I need to buy something to stream a sky movie on the TV! I.e. so Sky Movies are just not compatible with the new Samsung AI TVs 🙄 🤔🤨

Re: Samsung TV sky movies?
Hi @CathyB66
Unfortunately Sky Store is quite restrictive on which devices it works on and with.
There are very few TVs licenced to host the Skystore app. Certainly Samsung is not one of them. LG is the only manufacturer I've seen advertised recently. I'm sure in the past there were some Toshiba TVs on the list but not recently.
Sadly it could be that as you are restricted to a Samsung you might be best exploring other platforms for movie rentals / purchases.

Re: Samsung TV sky movies?
Thank you for your replies:)
Yes I won't be buying/connecting/fiddling about to watch sky movies!
The whole point of having one of the new TVs is so everything is in the same place (apps/streaming/mirroring etc) - & ease of use!
Sky movies are missing a trick/ losing business if they cant/won't make their app & mirroring compatible! Shame - as I have some sky credit & will now just watch some movies on tablet! 🙄☹️
