Any update on issue with sky store on LG TV?

It appears others are also having the issue of the black screen after attempting to launch sky store.  Has there been any update on a fix for this ?  Have tried hard resets, reinstalling the app no software updates.  Don't really want to watch movies on my iPhone

I have had the same issue so cannot to not watch movies I have purchased via Sky store app on my LG tv. The cast function does not work via sky store app from my iPhone, other streaming appz work fine with casting to LG tv.

So frustrating I'm waiting for someone from sky to message me have had no response as yet, have been in touch with LG - very quick to respond but couldn't help as the problem is obviously the sky app as everything else works perfectly

Yes I would like to know this too as although I can get Sky Store on my phone I really want to watch my films on a big screen. Would be great to find out when this issue will be sorted.

Sky won't give any indication of when it will be fixed you get the same generic response when you ask them very annoying

Yes and I've noticed a few people posted about this last year!!!  So frustrating as really want to watch a film this afternoon that I've purchased but can't access

Also they will only private message you about it and give you the exact same response I don't see anything posted by sky about it publically I also contacted sky store over a week ago and they didn't respond it's really poor

Here is the reply I recieved a couple of week ago. My LG TV is only 2 years old, fully up to date...but suddenly the Sky Store App stopped working (black screen).

I see that yourself, and others from even last year have the same issue.

 

Sorry Sky Store...but so much for being a "priority issue" for you. I'm guessing an update from either Sky or LG caused the issue?

Why not try an actual LG TV yourselves, roll back updates, see whay's caused it...and get it sorted.

  • At the moment, there is a known live issue affecting the My Sky Store app on certain LG TVs, where the app launches to the Sky Store logo and then goes to a black, unresponsive screen. Our technical team is already aware of this issue and is actively working with LG to resolve it as a priority.

    I understand how disappointing this is, especially when everything else on the TV is working fine and you’d prefer to watch your purchased content on the big screen. Please rest assured that this isn’t an issue caused by your TV settings or network, and there’s nothing further you need to do on your side right now.

    In the meantime, you can continue to access your Sky Store purchases on supported devices such as your mobile phone, tablet, or other compatible platforms. Once the fix is released, the app should resume working normally on your LG TV without requiring reinstallation.

I see more and more Sky customers with the very same problem...without any progress reports so we know what's going on.

Personally, I suspect it is NOT a priority for you and it's being ignored, or put on the back burner. This is very frustrating as my 2 year old TV, with all its updates, was working perfectly up until mid April. Now I can't watch my purchased films...if it's not resolved, how about issuing me a refund on the films, so I can re-purchase them on a different platform...one that works?
