Which wire?  There are 3:

1. Power - the cat would probably be fried

2. HDMI - no picture

3. Satelitte feed - you'll lose around half the channels unless they were very hungry

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

It's hardly Sky's fault that your cat did this, but anyway have you clarified which "wire" the cat took a liking too? Once you've done this you'll either need to phone Sky to book an engineer (minimum charge will probably be £65) if it's one of the cables from the dish, or you can just buy a new HDMI cable if it's the one between the Sky receiver and your tv.  If it's the 3rd option of being the power cable, I'm sorry for the loss of your cat.
