Hi @roger30   By subscribing to Multiscreen and ordering a Sky Q Mini box at the same time. Note, Multiscreen does not come with a Mini box by default, as people subscribe to it to watch on phones, tablets, etc.

Hi @roger30   As far as Mini boxes are concerned, Multiscreen works using the Sky Q Mesh, not broadband WiFi. So that may be an advantage. How is the Main Sky Q box connected to the internet?

Re: viewing in another room

Hello there ,

the main sky q is not connected to the internet as there is no landline or router in the house .

So I'm wondering then if multiscreen will work ?

Thanks ,

hi @roger30

No - even though Minis will connect using a wifi generated by the main box they need a router to issue IP addresses - although it need not be connected to the internet (except see below)

I believe minis also need an internet connection for initial authorisation also
