technical error

Hi, I was in the middle of watching a program when the tv froze, turned channel and now no channels are working and screen says technical error. I have followed all the steps, turn off box, turn both tv & box off at the main, waited and turned back on and nothing. Tried the service checker but that says unable to connect to the box. Internet working fine. Any ideas?
