sky software not working correctly

Hello Community,

 

I have been with Sky for over 14 yrs, so this post does make me somewhat upset and angry. Ive had the same sky Q box for over a number of , due to the and condition it just got old and started to not work correctly. after replacing the box 2 times i ended up booking an engineer. once he had come they did nothing different from what all the community told me to try. still no better. i began to speak openly with the engineer who then told me that there is a problem with the software which sky are working on this is to do with LG and Samsung Tvs. its about watching UHD and the settings in software. I understand that issues are issues but in the times and open speech there not providing correct information. I pay me bill of over £110 every month with no question so what can we do about this and how are sky going to do the right thing.

hello,

 

well in the morning the sky box fan is always working full blast.

the box is none reponsive

need to reset the unit everyday

watching uhd the screen goes blank then comes back on seconds later

This seems to happen re the fan over night. The box goes to standby when turned off at night when we come down the fan is going mad and the box will not respond. 

the black screen happens all times of the day. I was told by engineers it the new update that sky has provided is faulty with LG and Samsung models.

My main TV is an LG, I have the latest software update and (touch wood) no issues like this.

@Patrizia my main TV is also a LG  no problems here either Q box on the most recent software  for a few months now no sure  the engineer who told you there was a problem was correct as there would be loads of people complaing about this on the forum

@Patrizia  which Internet service provider are you with?

I can assure you that the issue you've been experiencing is not common to Samsung or LG televisions.
