sky’s box is talking in between programmes

sky q when watching a programme it starts talking as though it's describing what's happening anyone know what to do or what button to turn it off

You have probably accidentaly set Audio Description on

 

Press the ? button & the first section lets you toggle the setting on/off

Note the audio is emerging from your television set (or other attached speakers) : the Q box itself doesn't have any such capacity.
