I currently have Sky Sports through Virgin and experience a delay of around 8 seconds between the simultaneous broadcasts of sporting events on the Sky Sports Main Event Channel compared to other Sky Sports channels (so, for example, if a football game is shown on Main Event it will be 8 seconds ahead of the same game being shown on the Sky Sports Premier League channel). I'm trying to find out if this is also the case for people accessing Sky Sports channels through a Sky Q dish, or if it's unique to Virgin / non-Sky customers?

Thanks for your reply. I think I didn't articulate my question well: I plan to switch to Sky Q, but wanted to know if there is a delay in broadcasts between the Sky Sports Main Event and other Sky Sports channels for Sky Q customers. I assume that a community of Sky Q customers might be better placed to respond than VM customers.
As they are all delivered via the same satellite the channel arrive at the same time, any delay will be unoticeable if swtching between channels.
If you intend getting a Sky Q mini also there will be a slight delay on the same channel between the 2 boxes due to the way they are linked.

@DD461 As you're a virgin media customer, not Sky have t=you considered posting in the VM Community?
In this community it is mainly Sky customers who won't have VM as well.
