sky q and sky essentials tv multiple recordings

Hi does anyone know if you have sky Q box and drop down to sky essentials tv package you can still record multiple channels at the same time?

Been looking everywhere for an answer, sky rep on phone said you can watch one and record one...

I know on 4K freesat boxes you can, but need to know before I cancel sky.

Anyone using sky q, sky essentials tv and recoding multiple channels at once?

Thanks

Simon

That's probably because Essentials used to be based on Sky+ HD boxes.

I'd think Essentials on Q should use the full tuner capacity, and so allow multiple Recordings.

It's still an expensive way of getting Freesat-like functionality though.

Hi @Simonc0801   If cable.co.uk is to be believed, You can record up to six shows while watching another

Although only if the Q box in question permitted that in the first place ; )

An original 1TB wouldn't do so.
