Sky won't know you were using a 'magic eye' previously.  However, if you specifically ordered a Mini box (or took the 'VIP Upgrade' which includes one) then the installer will bring it, together with the main Q box, and attach it to a second television.

@saddy1 Only you can judge whether it's worth it from a financial standpoint. You will gain the ability to watch two different things on your two TV's at the same time and the second TV will be in HD.

The user interface is quite different though, so might take some getting used to. Also, a couple of things that you might currently use on Sky+ (Bookmarks and Reminders) aren't available on Sky Q.

Re: sky q and mini box

Will they put the mini box upstairs,  if the sky q is downstairs?

If you've ordered Multiscreen and a Q Mini box, then yes.  The main Q box goes on the end of the dish cabling: you can choose to have this relocated if you wish.  The Mini box typically connects wirelessly to the main box.
