hi @Evsie88

When your provider is not SKY then the minis connect to the main box via a wifi signal generated by the Main box - which as you say is too far in this case - or must both be connected via ethernet either to each other or both via an ethernet connection to the same network

(BTW  boosters/extenders sometimes are not suitable for this connection as I think they can be  treated as a different part of the network - but I am not an expert in this area)

Thus I am afraid if your main box is not connected to via ethernet to the same network as the mini via ethernet then it won't work

hi @Evsie88

Who is your broadband supplier and to what is your Ethernet connected?

Hi @Evsie88

Afraid the mini will not work with that Ethernet.

Put a switch in the garage. Connect the wifi booster and the mini to it.

Connect the Q to the router by ethernet as well. I assume the Q isn't also in the garage, contrary to your opening post?

Then they will find each other.

I am afraid I don't think you can cast from a tablet or phone but could possibly use a laptop with an HDMI output or a games console that supports SKY Go (At least one of the SU's uses their playstation connected to a TV)

Ethernet can go 100m

Or use powerline

or use ethernet into a wifi mesh node which is connected to the rest of your network.
