pixelated screen occasionally.

when watching tv from our mini box upstairs the screen pixelates occasionally. Maybe once every 30mins/hour, We thought it was the tv so bought a new one but it's still happening so must be the sky box. How do we sort it? Do we need a new sky mini box? How do we get one if so

Re: pixelated screen occasionally.

Hi @Joe76 ,

If you are using it over WiFi I would suggest trying the below

Sky is offering complimentary Q WiFi boosters to address connectivity problems with Q services. For optimal connection to the mini, the booster should be placed approximately halfway between the primary Q box and the mini.

If you call Sky they should be able to send one out to you.

Re: pixelated screen occasionally.

My screen started pixelating really badly about 2 months ago. I phoned after a while as it got progressively worse and I was told it was the extremely hot weather by one guy I spoke to!
I phoned again last week as it's not improving at all and they sent me a booster. There's been absolutely no change whatsoever with it so aside from doing all the usual garb, nothing seems to have gotten rid of it and fixed it so don't bother with the booster as it makes no difference whatsoever. I'll be ringing again Monday to have another moan up. I've had sky since they very beginning and changed every time they've all come out , sky, sky plus, sky Q now this joke of a telly. Q was always my favourite and I think I've phoned more times with problems I've had with the glass in 2 years than I did with all the others put together for the 12 years I had them. Sorry for the long post but it just seems to me that it's getting worse and not getting better. Can't blame teething problems now that another advisor told me about a month ago!

Take a look at this thread. It's a know issue but no solution from Sky yet.

@maxismum is this when watching live TV or when watching apps. If its Apps read the link  @JibbaJoy  posted. If its live TV have any trees/bushes grown obscuring line of sight to the satellite or it could be your dish has moved slightly out of alignment
