Re: picture and sound drop-outs
Hi,
can I ask how you download the firmware and how you identified what one was the correct one? Thanks

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
Have you clicked on the link in my post?
My TV is a 42oled809 so I found the group of firmware that listed xx80x and clicked on the firmware download arrow
Once youve done that click on the upgrade_loader link (for the version before theversoin you currently have on your tv) NOT the firmware link as they are different and then follow the instructions on the
page of the site.
N.B. this will factory reset the TV so you'll have to set up the tv again but my tv has now been fine ever since. I just got a generic and useless response from Philips telling me to ugrade to the latest software even through I had told them this is what caused the problem.

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
Yeah I had looked at the link but kept getting pop ups and wasn'f sure if they were legit.
I tried doing the factory reset, it reset the tv but kept the software updates.
Philips have not been helpful and advised me it was an issue with the sky box or hdmi cable

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
if you read the forum on that site, others with sky q have downgraded and that also fixed the problem for them and apparently Philips has pulled the update because of the issues with it.
I didnt have any issues with the popups - just click on schliessen (close in german) and they go away..

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
I am completely lost with this. I can select different links but it keeps bringing me around in circles with no download button/option. Is there a video to watch how to do this? I don't know if it's an issue with my computer that I keep going around in circles but I can't download any firmware because when I select it it just brings me to a different link and no downloadable file. It's really frustrating because the issue seems to happen more regaularly with the new sky q box and for some reason seems to happen more often when something exciting is happening on the sports channels

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
Finally downloaded the file which I think was the right file. Renamed it upgrade_loader.pkg and followed the instructions. When I plugged the tv back in it done nothing different, just brought the usual screen up. So obviously I have done something wrong or downloaded the wrong file. So frustrated and confused

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
For an oled908 your upgrade loader is here
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=14pUE_rtemoZFhfvmObU-D5CaT2vET_78
according to that site. You need to unzip it, rename it to upgrade_loader.pkg put it on a USB that's no bigger than 8GB and put it in the black USB slot on the back of the tv and then reconnect to the power supply.

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
You have to unzip the file(s) from the zip file and then copy it to the use and rename it

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
Is it normal to wait 25mins and it to still be on a blue screen showing 1%?

Re: picture and sound drop-outs
No I left it for 40 mins and was still stuck on 1%. I turned it back off and on to make sure it still worked as I didn't no if there was an issue with the file or if I should just leave it running until it eventually run through as it said it should take up to 25mins. Should I have just left it?
