hi this is a updare on the freezing issues i posted last month. plus goint through all this with a sky tech who responded to my problems. having thought after all the info and things to do to solve this i do think its failing again (main box) today i had to unplug reboot reset and did not solve this. had the box freezing channels not responding or a black screen etc so i am really anoyed now with this missing a good half hour of football etc until it finally worked ? i would like to get in touch with whoever it was on the forum (sky tech) who helped etc. but i presume this will not be possible ? who or how do i demand a replacement box ? i have endured a good 2 months with this issue etc. please advise ?

Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

thanks. i have done 2 resets tonight. its now working but i have some pixelation etc

Were these just reboots @toptinker @or Reset Settings in the hidden menu?

1 was a unplugged etc and 2 full resets

Have you tried throwing the box out the window ? I've heard that fixes lots of issues 🤣

i would but i have nothin else to view tv. the thought of it freaks me out
