Q's output is protected by HDCP - you won't be able to record. Ways of bypassing copy protection (obviously) cannot be discussed on this public forum.
There is a cable for the minibox that allows analogue output but may be protected by Macrovision.
I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
