I have an ethernet cable connection from my sky broadband box in my house to a sky Q box servicing a tv in my garden room.
Having worked perfectly for two years i can no longer get a connection via the cable. My wi-fi is inaccessible from the garden room hence the cable connection. Anyone any thoughts on the likely cause of failure?

Hi @David501
Did you use External grade Ethernet cable?
Best check if you get a connection to the Ethernet cable in your garden room with a Laptop.

As @oldfella indicates, most likely cause is a discontinuity in the physical cabling: weathering, rodent teeth or an unfortunate encounter with spade or shears, perhaps.
