Youtube App has several issues
SkyQ box, it's been frustrating to deal with YouTube App on it.
1. After an ad is played, you miss a few seconds of content from the video (it's almost like the original video is still running while the ad is running)
2. When pausing a video on YouTube, the video will resume fine for a few seconds (assuming what was cached). Then, the video rewinds (about 5-10 seconds), and the audio restarts a few seconds later and eventually it stalls and the only way to "fix" that is to rewind or fastforward a few seconds.
The behaviour on both issues is consistent and can be easily reproducible.

Re: Youtube App has several issues
You are not alone, there is an existing thread on these issues, Sky is investigating:

Re: Youtube App has several issues
Thanks for pointing that out. I doubt they'll actually fix it since that's been an issue for many months (the original post is from October last year).
The issues with Netflix (arguably even more important) also not fixed.

Re: Youtube App has several issues
I never had the Netflix issue, but the parents in law did. The workaround/fix in the thread has done the job for them to be fair.
I suspect you are right about YouTube, but hope you are wrong. Of course you can use the app on another device in the meantime, even though we shouldn't have to.
