We have the Sky Q router and Sky Q box connected by Wi-Fi. Its always worked fine up until a few weeks ago with all our Ipads and mobile devices connecting without issue (max 10 devices by wi-fi).
Now whenever we have a the Sky Q box on, other devices cannot connect via Wi-Fi or, are so slow they are unusable. Equally if we are using an Ipad/mobile device and we then turn on the sky Q box to watch, the program listings fail to come up and when I check settings I can see no Wi-fi or Internet connetion until we turn off th emobile phone. Its like we have fast Wi-fi but with absolutlely no bandwidth?
Nothing has changed with my setup since it was installed, so has ther been a recent updated to the router and is there a fix, as there are no settings in the Sky Q router to increase bandwidth.

100% this isn't the case. Your router decides what to route and by how much. Can you connect the Q box via cable? What is your normal broadband speed via something plugged in for preference.

So my Wi-fi speed to mobile devices/Ipad is 53 to 56 Mbs when the Sky Q box is off, once i turn it on, if i can even open a web page is about 2-3Mbs. I can hardwire as a test, but this defeats the object of a wirelwess Qbox and I dont want Net cables running around my house. So there is clearly something either wrong or changed somewhere. If the router decides what to route, why is it only choosing 1/few devices to connect too?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Tibs+and+Romeo have you tried rebooting your router
then when that is up and running
rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

Tried the reboot of the router then the Sky Q box, but still exceptionally limited connection of devices. My Printer also has issues connecting even though its within two meter of the router and uses a WPS method. Is there anyway of testing the bandwidth coming into the house, Sky provides statistics on speed but not bandwidth. Will also try setting Sky router back to original defaults.
