What satellite cables do I need to connect to sky q box

Hello, I had to return my sky q box and had a replacement delivered, I stupidly put in the satellite cables, what cables should I buy I am confused, is it male to female, male to male, I rang sky and they cut me off.  Any help would be appreciated.

hi @Pasty 

Normally the satellite cable come direct through the wall to the satellite dish.

If you have wall faceplates then you will need 2 short cables to connect to the Q box. 
Satellite cable extensions are readily available online.

 these come with a joiner if required at the wall plate.

Hi @Pasty 

I am guessing you have a Communal feed with a connection on the wall, rather than your own dish

The connectors on the leads are Male to Male using 'F plug connectors'  - You usually find  them online as 'Satellite extension leads but note some are correct with M-M connectors and a F-F adapter - some may be Male-Female so do check.

@Pasty   If you are using a communal satellite transponder signal feed from a wall mounted media plate then it will require your new replacement Sky Q receiver being re-configured to use 'SCR' LNB mode, instead of the default 'Wideband' LNB mode that it will have been initially configured to use.

Hi, thank you so much, I have ordered the cables, disappointed with SKY as they cut me off, she obviously couldn't be bothered to help, my fault, I literally did what they said and sent everything back. But thanks for taking the time to help me.  Kind regards.  Pasty
