Watching Q in a second room
Hello I recently upgraded from Sky +HD to Sky Q and my magic eye no longer works so I am exploring options for being able to watch Sky in a second room.
I'm a bit confused re the mini box and multiroom - I don't need to be able to watch something diffeeent on the second tv so would I need a mini box without multiroom?
I have also seen that mini boxes remain property of Sky but then I have also seen some for sale on eBay?
I am just trying to weigh up the options and also considering a modulator which I understand can replicate the set up I had with my old sky box and magic eye so that I can watch the same programme either upstairs or down.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

You can have a maximum of 4 mini boxes loaned to you by Sky. You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time. You may be able to use a 3rd mini box at the same time if you’re using it for one of the apps such as Netflix.
The original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes. Each mini box which is loaned to you may be subject to a one off upfront charge but you only need one Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription.
I have also seen that mini boxes remain property of Sky but then I have also seen some for sale on eBay?
Any advertised for sale are stolen property. Sky Q boxes and Sky mini boxes are loaned and must be returned at the cancellation of your subscription. The customers of those boxes will have had to pay non return fees (and the boxes are still owned by Sky) and won't work anyway.

Hi @Claire7654321 Yes you will need a multiscreen subscription and a SKYQ Mini box to watch SKY content on another TV in your property.
You will need to call SKY to arrange for a Mini box to be delivered for self set up, which would involve paying a setup fee for the mini box, which would still belong to SKY at the end of any subscription termination.
SKY Mini boxes sold on third party sites are stolen, and would not work when purchased as they would have been blocked by SKY.
