Vunerable pensioner being ripped off

My elderly mother is out of contract and being completely ripped off! She has all these packages that she does not use or want. Her monthly bill is £142.50 per month- she only wants the phone line for her care line. She has sky q/ broadband - doesn't use internet/ sky cinema/ Netflix/

how do we cancel this all? We have tried numerous times and been given the run around. I am absolutely furious that you seem to think this ok

@Nat92 Please be aware you are not contacting Sky customer service here, the forum is manned mainly by fellow customers with just a few Sky staff(they will not be able to assist with this matter).

What have Sky said or done when you previously called?

You're addressing other customers here, not Sky customer services...

The account holder will need to persist in contacting Sky to give notice to cancel services.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

What happens when you call them? Cancelling should be possible but they are clearly incented to try to persuade you to stay with a lock-in and discount

why does she even have sky tv, did she used to need/want it?

@Nat92 To cancel you will need to call Sky or use the following link https://www.sky.com/help/home/your-account/my-account-and-subscription/cancelling/cancel-my-subscrip...

Scroll down to the Contact Us section, select I need more help, all the relevant options to contact Sky will be provided.

You can also call on 150 from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk line

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

If you don't see the Contact options on the link above make sure java script is enabled on your browser.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Important to note that 'phone line' without broadband is about to become a thing of the past (from any provider, not just Sky) : the care line needs to be updated to be either cellular or broadband compatible.

I suspect you'll find it's not possible to order just a line and voice call service from anyone.
