Voice control no longer working

A few months ago the Voice control on our Sky Q remote stopped working. When we press it and speak/shout into it it always comes up with the message "Sorry we didnt quite get that". We've re-paired the remote, changed the batteries, and even after the recent Sky signal loss debacle have reset the box. The remote works in every other way apart from Voice control. This is now completely frustrating when trying to search for a programme.

Anyone else experienced this and resolved it?

Thank v much for the link. Interestingly, the first selection box in the request form is to indicate the voice control is not working.

Incidentally the chat function that I tried to get my answer from 3 times earlier did not seem to think this could be a problem, but clearly is!

Hopefully my new remote will solve the issue!

Hi @AJMills   Are you holding the remote about 8 inches away from your mouth? Mute the TV if it interferes. A reboot of your broadband router may help.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've just tried it again close to my mouth, further away, speaking normally and speaking loudly. I then muted the TV and tried all of the above. Sadly, the same message comes up every time.

I'll try rebooting our Broadband again, but the problem was the same before & after the last reboot
