@Jamie+Davis3733 Sky Q will only work on free to air channels without a viewing card in the box simple as that. If you try to go to an encrypted channel which includes a number you dont have to pay for you will get that message. What channel were you trying to tune to?

Hi @Jamie+Davis3733 If you have just recieved a replacement SKYQ main box, you would have needed to take your viewing card out of you previous box before it was returned.

You will need to call SKY and ask for them to send you a new viewing card before you can watch any none

freeview channels as descibed in the pos by @Chrisee

Re: Viewing card

I've had sky q for a few yrs and this message started a few days ago. I've not changed anything. Will phone sky as there must be some technical issue, but thanks for your reply.

@Jamie+Davis3733 then your viewning card should be inserted in your SKYQ box on the right hand side, it may have popped out, so try and push it gently back in until it clicks?

@Jamie+Davis3733 just to be certain viewing cards on Sky Q can be found in the slot that is on the right hand side of the Q box towards the front only a few millimeters of the card stick out so it is easy to miss

To remove the card you need to push it in and it will release it then give the chip a clean with a soft dry cloth

Put is back in and push it until you hear it clicking into place

Have you removed the viewing card, gently wiped in with a lint cloth and then reinserted it?

If you have cover through Sky Protect with Domestic and General Insurance you can try to contact them but the chances of them, or Sky, having engineer availability on Boxing Day are unrealistic.

or I'm moving my broadband

As we are customers here like yourself making threats to move services is irrelevant.

If this is Sky Protect then the terms you agreed are next day at best.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
