Viewing card doesn't insert all the way anymore

Suddenly the viewing card isn't inserted and won't click into place.

Therefore, it won't activate or pair with the box.

I am stunned to report that the chatbot doesn't help.

Any advice?

Hi @LindaR23   Telephone Sky, you will need a new box.

Out of curiosity, how did you discover this?  Normally there is no need to remove the card... ever

I am just another Sky customer!

That's true. I discovered it when the sky box said "Please insert your viewing card."

Re: Viewing card doesn't insert all the way anymore

I was finally able to find the tech chat agent. Went through all the same troubleshooting steps that I've already done, but this time it worked. I am not sure if the agent performed the action they said they would do, sending signals to pair the card. They didn't say. But the card seated into place as it had not done all weekend, and now it works.

So what to advise? Keep pressing the card into the device over and over until it seats? Seems like superstition.

Maybe the little mechanism that pops the card out is wearing out (odd because it never gets used)
