if this is a SKY network then this is likely to be showing the SKY Q's own wifi that it generates for connecting to minis

In my sky q settings the network name is different to the one on my router.

My phone is showing the correct name.

I have tried resetting it but it continues to find the other network

The SKY Q box main still generates a wifi & this is often listed as the network, which we know is confusing

I tried the sky phone help line but just went round in circles trying to find the right person to help

It should also be noted all wifi signals are password protected, a Sky Q box or any other device for that matter cannot just link itself to a different wifi network without  a password.

As mentioned the other SSID will likely be generated from the Sky Q box itself, if your Sky Q box is working correctly then there is no point calling Sky as there are no issues with it.

Hi @JohnLey   It is a virtual SSID generated by the box, especially if it starts with Skyxxxx. You can safely ignore what it displays. As an example mine used to show a BT router name that I got rid of years ago. If it works, then everything is fine.
