Thats correct .   Minis cannot handle UHD and will not downscale content to HD

Unfortunately SKY Q does not down convert UHD recordings to HD to be able to play them on a mini.

If you are likely to want to watch on a mini you need to  consider recording in HD (alongside UHD if you want that as well)
