Unable to view BBC ITV and a few more

Hi helpers I haven't been here for awhile 

I can't seem to watch BBC ITV on my sky Q box I can only watch them on iPlayer and ITVX 

I get a message. Channel is affected by a problem with your Sat signal 

I have done the usual reboot etc but with no success 

any ideas please cheers PM

Hi @poshman31 

Work through the following link and if you cannot solve your issue it will lead to booking a Engineer.
Alternately, if you are on a Communal Dish you will need to contact your Landlord or Management company.

Thank you for our prompt reply I have checked the link re no satellite signal but that is not the correct error I have mine is as per my question  you are affected  by a problem with your satellite signal  I can watch the majority of channels but not BBC. ITV CH 4 and a few more 

I have changed TV,s brought one from upstairs and connected it is that a coincidence that I can't watch them now ?

I don't think I've done anything silly I've just connected HDMI cable to TV and sky Q box

if it can't be solved is there a fee to book an engineer to visit Thanks PM

I agree with @oldfella that the issue you have is as per the advice provided. 

Any message displaying “no satellite signal” relates to your Sky Q box, so also check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight.

A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

An engineer call-out is at no cost.

It's not unusual to have satellite signal problems with a few channels while the others are working ok. The fault checking process is the same. You'll be able to book an engineer at the end of the process, if it doesn't resolve it.

Then you'll  need to book an engineer to check the dish alignment.

Thanks for your advice, I do get pigeons standing on the dish trying to make a nest I have to Lean out the window to remove the sticks 

it seems strange that the dish has moved but hey will book engineer  to visit

is there a fee for this ? 
in the. Meantime will watch BBC on iPlayer and Mrs can watch her soaps on ITVX 😁
