Tv goes black, can hear programme.

Sky a goes black after about 2 hours of viewing,  can hear the programme but can't change any settings as I can't see anything.  Have done the usual turn off things.  Works again next day....until 2 hours later.  And why can't you directly chat to sky!

Hi @FionaWoody   Are you sure that you TV does not have an auto power saver by blanking the screen if no interaction occurs (like volume change) set to two hours. I have mine set to 24 hours.

No, if we change off sky q it's ok...then go back to sky q and it's still blank....

Hi @FionaWoody   Try changing the ECO settings to Active or None. Standby Settings

Ok, have done, thanks.  Will see what happens but we've had this sky Q for years and this has never happened 🤷🏻‍♀️

It shouldn't be eco mode as that takes 4 hours to activate (except after 11pm) and it turns the box into standby so you wouldn't be able to still hear the programme.

Spoke to sky and they are sending a new box....they suggested an engineer but a new box sounds way easier!

Hi @FionaWoody   We can't say it offten enough, please remember to keep your viewing card, and swap the power lead with the box.
