It's about time sky acknowledged the problem and give us all a update on what is happening

They could mark it as the answer (for now) on this thread, that would help people. Oh wait...

Re: This programme is no longer available

Is it actually your job to suggest to customers experiencing an unacceptable level of customer service whilst not recieving a service they are actually paying for, that they should just shut up and stop complaining?  Because if it is, you're great at it.

As you'll know it's a billion dollar company. Having clear and open communication channels is possibly  the least level of professionalism that should really be expected, ignoring the fact that this sort of issue should really be sorted in hours, or days at worst.

But great job defending the billion dollar company...I'm sure they're happy to have you.

Re: This programme is no longer available

It would appear that SKY are not too interested in even  acknowledging this problem and certainly do not appear to be interested in fixing this issue .........if I was a bad minded person I might begin wonder if this could be a way of encouraging people to move from Q to the new Glass......my current  contract has recently  expired, so I will give it a couple more weeks and if this isn't resolved , I will look at Virgin as an option..

Re: This programme is no longer available

Well I don't want to jinx it but I had a new box on 11th May, after I set it up it did it the first night, since speaking to tech team I changed all my boxes to no standby and every night I turn my TV off with the sky remote and then put the box into standby with the remote and it hasn't happened since. 🤞it stays that way.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Stupidly forgot about it this afternoon and switched on using the remote (box was in Standby via the front button from last night).

The box came up with "technical fault" showing, which was odd, but it was actually working fine once I changed channel.

My streak is now 3 days. Of course, it worked last weekend too, so...

Re: This programme is no longer available

I've been having the same problem for the last 3 weeks and it's becoming very tiresome having to reboot several times a day.  An engineer replaced the box and remote and it behaved for one day but is now back to This Programme is no longer available.  AAARGH.

If it is a software glitch, could Sky please pull all the stops out and get the Techies to fix it.

Have been with Sky for 19 years and this problem never occurred before.

Disgruntled of Suffolk.

Have you set the Eco mode to None in the settings, that might reduce the number of times you do this although doesn't entirely resolve it.

Re: This programme is no longer available

4 days in a row!

Turning off at the box at night and turning back on at the box in the morning continues to do the trick.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Why after all these weeks is sky no even apologised for all the issues but all to quick to take our money

I will give it until weekend then if nothing is done will be looking at giving it all up and being a customer for over 20 years that is shameful

This is still working for me most days, but I've had two mornings where I got up to find the fan blasting at 100% and the box not responding. Can I ask what settings you are using? Non/Eco/Active?

Was eco but turned that off after this started

Re: This programme is no longer available

I have:

Standby mode: None

Smart standby mode: Off

HDMI control: On

Continued to work for the last 2 days, so that's 6 days in a row I think.

To recap:

At night, turn off Sky box using the button on the front of the box, and turn off TV using TV remote seperately.

Next day, turn TV on using TV remote, and then turn the Sky box on using the button on the front.
