Yes same for me, seems to be a problem with the sky q box freezing once the tv is turned off and the sky box won't come out of stand by - the sky q box shows a green light but is completely unresponsive

Same issue for me and with the amount I pay for this subscription I would expect better support from Sky. 

1. Nearly impossible to speak to anyone

2. There support documents are mostly out of date

3. Not having a simple way to restart the Sky Q box without unpluging it adds to the frustration

 

I don't want to move to Sky Stream and so hopefully this is not a devious way to try and push us all in that direction.

If the box hasn't completely frozen/crashed you should be able to restart it by holding the standby button on the front for 10 seconds. Then wait for about 30 seconds until the standby light turns from green/orange to red. Now press the button again to restart the box.

Changing the setting for simultaneous recordings requires a reboot, so if you don't care what that setting is you can use it as an easy way to reboot without having to touch the hardware.

 

Settings -> Setup -> Preferences -> Maximum number of recordings

 

Obviously if the box if frozen it's no help.

I also have this problem for the past couple of weeks.  Have to unplug  every time I tien on.

Ive noticed the same problem the last few days too.

Sky Q box is green but when turning on the TV I just get a black screen so have to perform a hard reset.

My software version is

Q350.000.12.00L (679jvlc)

 

I checked to see if there was any new updates ready to be picked up and it said there was and its just finished the process.

It says it will apply the update next time the box

@Inni786 you are already on tne latest software version when checking for updates it always says there is but Q 350 is the most recent update

Same again this morning. Menus and sound are working but no video from the channel and the error message at the top. Can't change channel. Rebooted again.

 

I know they want people off Sky Q but this is not the right way to go about it.

Sky Q box keep having to reboot

Recently every time I turn sky get a blank screen, with audio, and when try to change channel or access any recorded programmes get "Programme no longer available" message. If go through hard start it starts working normally .

have update software and gone through the prescribed restart with holding the button etc but the problem keeps coming back. The AI agents are unable to help and can't get to speak to someone. Any ideas?

Hi, I have the same problem - every day I have to unplug the Sky Q box for it to work. It either gets stuck on retrieving data or black blank screen and everything is not available.. been like a week now

I have the very same problem, come on sky we pay you a fortune to watch and now i cant witout switching of and on every day the qbox this is unaccepital !
