The volume control will not work properly

I have been using Sky through the same tv for over 18 months but last week the volume control stopped working properly. I cannot increase the volume above 14 but can't reduce it below 10 either.

If the sound increases & decreases then it will not be the remote that is the problem but the TV's

May I suggest you try a power down restart of your TV (i.e. unplug the TV or switch off at mains , wait >30s before   re-applying the power)
