Hi
I suspect the max is only 100Mpbs, so I was wondering if I can attach an ethernet cable to a 1Gb Usb/Ethernet adapter and plug this into the SkyQ USB port to get faster speeds?
Is there a way to run a speedtest on the SkyQ main box?
Thanks
Paul

Launch Netflix on your Sky Q box (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say a few minutes between tests.

No, because such an adapter has to be supported by the operating system of the device it is plugged into (typically a laptop), and that's vanishingly unlikely to be the case for a Sky box. As far as we know the USB on Q has no intended customer facing functionality at all: it may be there for factory diagnostics and refurbishment processes.
There's also nothing to be gained: Q is designed to download on-demand data fast enough for uninterrupted playback of the current video content, not to slurp future episodes to disk as fast as possible.
