Technical issues with Sky Q
Sky Q keeps freezing, technical error, not recording programmes etc. Requested an engineer when the Q+A suggested a broadband error. Router moved to original phone line port. TV worked when the engineer was there for a few minutes but now, still the same. Multiple resets via the call centre in India (who was extremely helpful) but after leaving it for several hours in the vain hope it would work, it didn't. Can't record, can't rewind/pause etc which defeats the object of the whole thing.
Done all factory resets (other than the one that deletes all programmes recorded) and nothing. Back to the usual intermittent tv with the frequent 'technical fault' if I dare to press the remote.
Is this a fault with the sky Q box?
However, looking at this forum, we aren't the only ones suffering with a poor service. Perhaps an issue with their software??? C'mon Sky, sort it out.

If you still have your recordings then you haven't carried out any 'Factory resets'
The Hard drive reset will wipe the Hard drive of all recordings and a Factory reset will lose all recordings and all settings.
Certainly a fault somewhere but nothing to do with the Software unless it hasn't been updated to the latest version.
Any Software fault would affect millions of boxes not just a few who have issues.

Thank you for responding so quickly. We didn't do the factory reset as we didn't want to lose recordings but all other resets were completed and not much has changed. Customer services are sending out a replacement for the mini box but if the main one isn't working correctly, the mini one won't either I'm guessing? 🤷♀️
I have tried every single reset (including the 'hidden' ones pressing certain numbers on the remote) but we're back to square one. Not sure what else to do and there's a two week wait for an engineer which is frustrating.
