Technical difficulties and programmes not loading

Not sure if it's just me but I've only had sky for around 2 weeks but programmes don't always load, I always get error message saying technical difficulties loading programmes, when adverts come on using apps, the screen goes black for the entire advert.

not sure if it's an issue with sky or something to do with my connection

Probably worth a restart of your Sky Q box/es or a reset as described here;
