I am having Virgin media installed next week due to Sky speeds in my area only reaching 10-15mb. I'm trying to work out the best set up (Sky Q plus 2 Mini's) for me having read tons of forum posts and my take is the following will work best.
VM Router to connect to main Sky Q via 2.4ghz band. (No Ethernet option)
Sky Minis to connect to Sky Q box via Sky q 5ghz. Set channels on Sky Q box to use channels 44 to 52
set VM Router to use channels 36 to 43 (to minimise interference.)
one mini needs a sky booster - connect Sky booster to main Q box. Sky mini will automatically use this.
Turn off Sky Mini Hotspots to avoid multiple connection points (not sure if I need to do this but last time one device had 4 options for same network)
i hope someone can advise this being the best as last time I had VM I had issues with the Sky Mini boxes disconnecting everyday and having to reset the main q box connection to get them to work.
