This is the most bizarre problem I've ever encountered, and seems to be unique to trailers shown on Sky Arts (it may occur on other channels, but I can't confirm this).
Anyway, when fast forwarding through commercial breaks I am able to stop and rewind if anything catches my attention. Let's say I'm fast forwarding and notice an advert for a new brand of coffee. I can hit play and then rewind to watch the advert again and pay attention.
However, when the adverts end, a trailer is usually shown for upcoming shows, and if I try to rewind a trailer the picture freezes when I hit play. The audio continues as normal, but the trailer will not resume playing until the audio signals its end.
It's almost as though I'm being prevented from rewinding trailers for some reason.
