Hi @Jedibaby 

Reboot your Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

My TV guide isn't showing from Friday onwards tonight. The guide is supposed to show 7 days ahead. I see from the previous enquiry that a re-boot will solve the issue... but it doesn't. If I re-boot I get the full 7 day guide back but in a few days it will start losing days again so there is something else happening here. I have lost count of the number of re-boots I have done now to recover the guide. Maybe it's the software or my box being a bit aged but I shouldn't be having to re-boot every other week. Anybody else having this issue too? Any Sky techie input ?

It's been an issue for months and months. I've been having issues with the EPG for over a year now and it has steadily got worse over the last three or four months. I'm currently rebooting my Q box several times a week just so the EPG will update so my weekly series links will pick up. It's not affecting absolutely everyone so there's no interest in the Sky techies to look into why this could be happening. 

Another thing to look at is make sure your box is set to 'eco' as mine was originally set to 'none' and for a while that did help with the matter but gradually over the months things have begun to deteriorate. 

Right now the EPG on my (almost 6 year old box) has partially updated but I still have gaps 'waiting for tv schedule' so none of my weekly series links from tonight have picked up but the box may fully update overnight. I shall check in the morning.

 

But this is an ongoing issue that a box reboot obviously doesn't permanently resolve and there is no interest in anyone from the tech department to investigate why.

I agree it won't affect a lot people as not everyone uses the box for recording in the same way. I wonder if Sky use the disconnect data to run any stats on re-boots. I am sure the results would make interesting reading and give some avid techie much pleasure in analysing for root cause

Does anyone from Sky monitor this site? If so, please address this issue which is a constant, continuous hassle. If not how do I complain to Sky?
