TV and mini box

I have a JVC TV LT39CA120 but it is not on the list to pair my minibox with the remote. The TV is quite new. The sound will work on the first setting but doesn't allow me to turn my TV off with the remote, only the minibox. I have tried going through all the 22 settings. Anyone any ideas please

Just to confirm - you have to hold the power button for about 2-3 seconds for a TV power on/off signal.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
