I'm currently out of contract with my TV package, and dont want to renew. Can I still make changes to my package without tying myself to a new 12-18 months contract? I wanted to swap Sky Sports for TNT Sports.

TNT Sports should be available on a 31 day rolling contract.
However dropping Sky Sports may trigger the need for a new contract for the remainder of your package.
New contracts are now 24 months.
Only by contacting Sky directly can you confirm the details.

24 months now?? No way I want to risk tying myself to that. How can dropping a package trigger a new contract? Does cancelling my subscription trigger a new contract ??

As I said @Jbradshaw777
Dropping Sky Sports is a change to your package.
Only by Speaking to Sky can you establish the facts

I cancelled my Sky Sports a couple of weeks ago as my TV subscriptin was out of contract, it didn't put me into a new contract for TV, still paying that on a rolling monthly contract
But as you will probably need to contact Sky to cancel the Sports you can ask and confirm
