Strange Issue With Discovery Channels.
Ok, I've posted previously and attempted a fix but didn't work.
It's a weird problem I have with Sky Q
I have an issue with ALL Discovery channels such as Quest, Turbo and all the others.
I can watch them fine but if I pause or rewind them I can't carry on watching them
as it will just go to blank screen for a second and then back off and on again every few seconds.
Sometimes if I rewind the show me carry on watching it will play for about 2 mins and then just go to a permanent black screen.
It does this until I change channels and go back again.
Either that or I get a blues screen saying there is a technical issue with this channel, please try again later.
I thought maybe it was my box so I reset to factory settings. That didn't work.
I called Sky and they send me a replacement box. I hoped this would fix it but it didn't. It still happens.
Sky have no idea and I'm at a loss.
It ONLY happens on Warner Discovery channels.

Hi @Niteflyer75
Only logical reason why you get the same issue with a channel on a different box is if it is an issue with dish alignment or a LNB problem.
Only solution is to get an Engineer to check your dish and LNB signal.
A slight dish misalignment can just affect a single channel .

Re: Strange Issue With Discovery Channels.
Thanks. I did mention that to Sky but they said 'no' that's not the problem.
Which I thought was rather strange as they have no idea of my set up.

Re: Strange Issue With Discovery Channels.
I think this is a problem with Sky's AdSmart system. Recently there have been various messages on here describing similar problems with pause/rewind or screens intermittently going blank, but so far no solution. It's always on channels that use Sky AdSmart which includes the Discovery channels.

Re: Strange Issue With Discovery Channels.
Ahh ok. Thank you. That would explain a lot though.
Funny how Sky say they have no knowledge of the issue.
It's not every good though, we're paying a lot for Sky TV and we can't even rewind or pause the channels we watch mostly if we want to carry on watching.
