Star Trek Strange New Worlds on Paramount
I have free access to Paramount + via my Sky Q subscription. I'm experiencing problems watching episodes of Star Trek Strange New Worlds on my Samsung Smart tv.
The stream constantly buffers and the picture goes from light to dark and back again repeatedly. The audio isn't affected. After a while the Sky Q box begins to "whirr" as if the hard drive was picking up speed. The only way I've been able to solve the problem is to disconnect the Sky Q box , Sky soundbox, and tv. On reconnecting everything and resuming the Star Trek episode the problem eventually returns.
This problem only occurs while watching Star Trek Strange New Worlds, every other series and film streams and plays without a problem.
Anyone out there had a similar problem?, better still anyone out there got a solution?

Re: Star Trek Strange New Worlds on Paramount
The Paramount app is causing buffering problems and the hard drive 'whirr' for many with their Sky Q boxes.. Ive had both.

No solution yet, but Sky are aware.
Sky Stream with two pucks (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Protect smart tech kit tester.

Re: Star Trek Strange New Worlds on Paramount
I tend to avoid using the apps on the Q and use another device wherever possible.
2 other options (I've used both):
1. use a native app on the TV (it's on my LG - not sure about Samsung)
2. use a compatible tablet (e.g. iPad) and cast to the TV (if capable)

I use option 3 - app on an Amazon Firestick (my TV doesn't have the app)
BTW the Firestick app now supports 5.1 audio (although for some strange reason SNW S2 ep 2 & 3 are only 2.0 although ep 1 is 5.1)

Re: Star Trek Strange New Worlds on Paramount
All season 2 episodes now have DD5.1 at last. At least on Sky Stream and Apple TV apps.
Sky Stream, Sky Glass, Panasonic DX902, Pioneer LX-901 7.1.4

Many thanks for the update.
Although I have only checked a couple of episodes, as I expected, 5.1 via the P+ app on Firestick also
Not quite sure why they didn't manage to have it when first available but at least now they have it 🙂
