Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe Spotify of late does not seem to be as reliable asi has been.
It did this for me and others on here a few weeks back.
Has been fine for me since then. Just started working correctly again after a day of blips.
Just given it a try and seems to be ok.
Perhaps a power reboot of your Sky Q box may help.

Notice Spotify today on the Sky Q box is cutting out randomly as you play a track.

Yes I still have intermittent cut outs in playback on Sky Q. No pattern or reason but once it stars it affects every song played after. There were several discussions re this but looks like Sky are trying to bury the issue by deleting the threads.
Ive had a new Sky Q box and multiple calls with techs to re install do updates etc but with little to no change. Sky are well aware of the issue but don't seem to be doing much about it. It's not fixable as far as I'm aware.

Hi, did you get a resolution to this issue as we're having the same problem? Thanks

@Rfcoll @No not fixed. I doubt it will be to be honest.

I have this issue too. It's annoying when I put a playlist on and it freezes after each song. I guess it has something to do with compatability of the app on sky as its fas more basic than the mobile app. It's a shame really.

I agree it's probably an app issue. I now stream Spotify through my Apple TV as a Bluetooth connection to my phone and have no drop out issues at all. I have in the past few months noticed that if I watch YouTube through the app on Sky when you pause a video and then play it again it gets very glitchy and jumps around in the playback. If you rewind the video slightly and then play again it sorts itself out. Don't have this issue when pausing and watching on other devices so again I suspect a Sky app issue.
