My Sky Q 2TB box having problems to installing software update.
Current software - Q220.000.23.00L (5Irke0s)
After downloading and installing software update from system info screen. I then put box into standby to finish installation.
When in standby blue Q light whirls round and then the box reboots but no software update and the Sky Q mini boxes keep displaying screen asking to update software.
Stuck in this loop for several days no repeating the steps with no resolution. Can anyone help?

The Q mini display the info of the main box - software version Q220.000.23.00L is is one of them which keeps intermittently displaying message to update main box.

Is the message definitely coming from the Sky box and not the TV? Sky boxes don't usually display messages advising of software updates other than when the software becomes corrupt (rare).
The rollout of Q23 hasn't completed yet and it wasn't on the download stream last time I checked. meaning a software update will just re-download Q22.

I was going to say I've never seen a message to update.

Can you get a photo of that message?

@GXFIELDSMAN I have a 2Tb box as well.
My software version is same as yours - I presume Q230 hasn't been applied to 2Tb boxes as yet

Yes it is the sky box, it's odd but it's what the sky mini box is doing and done it now over 3 days now and doesn't go until I try to software update the main box.
The software on the main box doesn't update, version status same. Even tried the hard roboot update where you turn box off and back on with standby button pressed to get the red and yellow flashing light and forced software update.
Problem still persists.

Hi @GXFIELDSMAN
When you select Setup (in Setting - System info - Software version) the message received will always be update this box with the latest software even if the box is already on the latest version.
Updating when already on the latest version achieves nothing and the box software is not refreshed.
All Q boxes and minis should be on the same software version.
Software updates are released to boxes in batches and cannot be forced manually during batch release.
Although the latest is Q230..... it will not be possible to download this manually until it is on the DR stream for download and so you may find the boxes on Q220....
Not sure if Q230... has been sent to all Q boxes and if so it will be on the DR stream.
See following link for Software versions and how to check and update.

If you still have the Update message in your photo try a Reset Settings in the main Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

The Software page will not updated until the latest Q 230..... relaease has been sent to all boxes.
Once this is done it will be added to the DR stream for manual update.
All as explained in my previous post immediately before your post
