I have a 2023 Smart LG which was working fine with Sky Q. Suddenly Sky has disappeared from the screen (it was showing as a rectangle in bottom left of screen similar to LG channels.) Consequently I can no longer watch it because there is no way to access it. Anyone have an idea on how to get it back?

Hi @skyreburn
First try rebooting the LG TV. Disconnect the power lead for 30sec and then reconnect to reboot.
Once the Television is back up and running reboot the Q box.
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)
note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

That would be a shortcut to an HDMI input.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Smart LG TV has 'thrown' Sky after WebOS update
OK, so here is where we've got to. I had already considered rebooting the Sky Q box as a solution but had not thought of the TV itself, so did tha as instructed and then rebooted Sky Q box again. That did clear the LG channel that had replaced Sky in the Live feed box. The box now says 'No program tuned', so I am assuming I need to tune the TV to find the Sky Q box. Unfortunately can only find instructions for 2022 WebOS online which isn't quite the same layout, but I will persist.

Re: Smart LG TV has 'thrown' Sky after WebOS update
I managed it. Instructions on YouTube, etc for tuning the TV are solely for tuning Freeview, not other modes of input and I was stymied for a while. However, in an act of desperation I unplugged/replugged the Q box from the HSMI port just to make sure I had it seated correctly. I'd done this previously but it was before I rebooted the TV and it had had no effect. When I did it this time, a message came up about its being a Sky connection. Two or three messages/screens appeared more quickly than I could respond to them but finally one with several boxes to choose from, one of which was Sky. I clicked on it and it reinstalled and is now operating correctly.
Moral of all this: beware of updates. Things are still updating to this new WebOS and it just hit Netflix. But reboot, reboot, reboot.
