SkyQ issues connecting to Samsung TV

Problem:

Switching on SkyQ after a period of time, (tv automatically starts). Then wait around 10s then the picture will come on, but unable to select any remote control options, wait another 10s then volume comes on and I can use.

 

Background:

I have had this issue for some time, Sky Engineers changed 3 SkyQ boxes in 10 days when it took over 20s and a blank screen before I could use. The Sky minibox works first time everytime when I get up, but when I get to the living room the delayed start continued. I eventually accepted it as it still worked after 20s. But today the old problem resurfaced whereby I have to go through troubleshooting via the Samsung HDMI connection and reconnect. Other HDMI connected devices are fine.

 

This did not happend with my older SkyQ box which had to be replaced due to a fan grinding issue. It is clearly a softward issue which Sky do not seem to care about and I read in these forums that other customers have similar problems with Samsung.

Miniboxes work fine, Engineers don't know why and Sky not creating an incident ticket to solve the problem.

 

Has anyone figured out a workaround. I have replaced the HDMI cable with a quality one. Tried changing the ports. Rebooted, software updated, even Samsung remoting logged in and tested the tv which was fine.

 

Been with Sky for over a decade, but the support they are providing on this issse is clearing below the standards I would expect. .

I tried the link you sent and it did not have a chat option.  I got this error when I wrote the same.

 

Correct the highlighted errors and try again.

None of the users have PM enabled. Message will not be sent.

 

I have no idea what this means
